    The table is made in polished stainless steel and is customizable upon request. Lead time is 30-45 days for current design and up to 75 days for custom piece. The artist Zhipeng Tan is a self-taught sculptor with an Industrial Design degree from the China Academy of Art. His practice focuses on delivering his sculptural vision to a broader audience through art furniture. Most of Tan’s sculptures are characters in his imagery utopian world who are allowed to be childish, oversize, less than perfect without prejudice. Taking the abstract forms of water, plants, oversized insects, animals, skeletons as the base, Tan expends his ideas to create each figure. Inspired by Joan Miro, Henry Moore, Constantin Brancusi, Tan's sculptural forms are often organic, with a slightly surreal quality, while maintaining functionality. Most Tan's works are hand-sculpted in one to one scale in clay, then use multiple ways to archive the final work, including lost-wax casting, hammering.
