18th Century Massachusetts Mahogany Drop Leaf Table with Ball & Claw Feet

About the Item

A fine form mahogany rectangular drop leaf table with chestnut & pine secondary woods, astragal corners on the table top, swing out cabriole legs on each side, terminating with nicely carved ball and claw feet. Massachusetts in origin, dating to the 18th century, in very good overall condition, with surface imperfections, scratches, edge losses, and wear commensurate with age and use. The top finish was refreshed at some point. Dimensions: 26.25 in H x 13 in W (closed) x 33.75 in D; 35.5 in W (open).
