American Empire Greek Revival Drop-Leaf Dining Table in Mahogany, circa 1830

About the Item

Attributable to the New York cabinetmaker, Meeks and Sons, this handsome dining table is made of premium mahogany and is inspired by the furniture designs of ancient Greece. American Greek Revival drop leaf table in mahogany, circa 1830. Probably NY attributable to Meeks. Top and center pedestal are solid mahogany, legs and base are veneered in mahogany. Works well as a breakfast table or in a dining room an axillary dining table. Opens to 41 3/4 x 51 3/4" and can comfortably seat six. Table is 41 3/4" long x 20 1/4" wide (with the drop leaves down) x 27 1/4" high. The drop leaves are 15 3/4" wide so the table is 41 3/4" long x 51 3/4" wide with the leaves up. The apron in the center of the table is 4". Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
