Antique American Federal Sheraton Inlaid Mahogany Pembroke Table New York 1790

About the Item

A very fine antique American Sheraton Federal period mahogany Pembroke table, New York, circa 1790. This very elegant Federal period table is made from the finest figured Cuban mahogany, the table having twin drop leaves inlaid with satinwood stringing, each leaf is supported by twin pull-out lopers, making the table very stout & stable when open. The table skirt at each end has corresponding satinwood stringing and inlaid oval paterae at the top of each leg, the table is raised on turned and reeded tapered legs. The table was made by a very skilled New York cabinet maker, condition is very good indeed, a very fine antique 18th century NY table!
