Introducing a rare and elegant extension dining table crafted in Denmark in the 1970s by the renowned Skovby Møbelfabrik furniture manufacturer.
Constructed from premium solid and veneered Burmese Teak, this extension dining table boasts a durable and high-quality construction that will stand the test of time and features a sleek and timeless design that will elevate any dining space. Easily expanding to a full length of 110" this table can easily accommodate up to ten guests comfortably. The intricate trestle leg design, carved out of solid teak slabs, allows one to make use of the entire table perimeter so guests can cozy up without the discomfort of having to straddle a table leg.
Skovby Møbelfabrik was founded in 1933 by Danish cabinetmaker Thorvald Rasmussen. He was a visionary designer who introduced innovative and complex designs to the Danish Modern aesthetic usually known for being minimalist and spartan in appearance. He was uncompromising and professionally proud, and from the start produced furniture of the highest quality. Skovby is still family-owned and producing pieces and variations of the DC06 in Denmark to this day - a testament to the staying power of a company focused on uncompromising material use and innovative, functional designs.

This gorgeous dining table is in 100% original, vintage condition and has aged to perfection! The mix of solid and veneered Burmese teak is in remarkably excellent shape for it's age showing only minor surface scratches (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided) as well as few minor chips in the veneer of the extension leaves (shown in the detail photos provided). With that said the wood is in overall very good condition with no stains, bubbling or deep scratches present whatsoever. The table extends and contracts with ease and the two leaves can be installed or removed in mere seconds.
