1950’s Gio Ponti style side table

About the Item

A beautiful side table with elegant details, in the manner of Gio Ponti, and reminiscent of an Arne Vodder design. We are fairly certain the table is American made, definitely circa late 1950’s through the mid-60’s. We do not confirm the precise maker of the table as no makers mark exists. Lathe-turned legs connect to gluing blocks under the table surface but extend slightly past the height of the table, and are capped on the bottom by metal feet. Sculpted details and rounded-rectangular design finish off the elegant aesthetic and preserve a strong frame. Made of White Ash and Poplar lumber core. Legs and structural elements are solid wood.
