Iris Barley Twist Accent Table in the Style of MacKenzie-Childs
About the Item
This antique English tall barley twist rectangular side table has been given a hand painted update in the manner of MacKenzie-Childs. The top of this one-of-a-kind piece features a centered purple iris flower over vertical cream and black stripes that extend down the apron, past the beveled checkered edge. The upper and lower leg sections have a geometric triangular design, also in cream and black, and each hand turned barley twist leg has been finished in one of four ombré effect colors - blue, green, pink and purple. The top edge and outer faces of the table's block stretcher showcase checks which, on the short ends, spill over to become vertical stripes on the inner faces. To polish it off, gold metal leaf has beee applied to the table's left and right top surface edges and apron ends, inside the upper and lower portions of the legs, and on the inner faces of the two long sides of the base stretcher. All sits atop four pear shaped cream and black feet.
