Pair French Louis XV / XVI Side Tables After Jean-Francois Oeben
About the Item
Pair of side cabinets after the original model by Jean-Francois Oeben (1721-1763), cabinet maker to the French aristocracy, including Madame de Pompadour, chief mistress to Louis XV, with rectangular shape, serpentine shaped legs, mahogany veneer with fine parquetry inlay on top and sides, pierced brass gallery, pull-out writing surface with black leather surface and two drawers, plus finely cast gilt bronze mounts including floral swags, goat heads and foliate scrolls.
