About the Item
The Reader Side Table XL in ceramic and wood was designed for Piscina by Piscina's principal designer Natalie Shook. Piscina won Best New Designer as Well as Best in Show for this new collection of work at the International Contemporary Furniture fair in May of 2022.
The base; formed from a single slab of clay, joins effortlessly with the solid wood table top and feet which tenon through the ceramic base. These tables make a playful union of ceramic and wood elements with innovative joinery. Designed with the simple goal of defining a void to be curated with a collection of books, these side tables help establish the mood of any space they inhabit. The XL side table - scaled for coffee table and art books; the Mini, sized for novels and books of longer engagement, is the perfect companion to a reading chair or bedside.
The listed price is for the piece as it is presented in burnished unglazed ceramic with an African Mahogany top as well as in any other combination of material and glaze finish options. Custom upon request for an additional fee. African Mahogany with a glazed ceramic base is ideal for outdoor furniture making this piece a perfect accent to any indoor or outdoor space.
