English Arts and Crafts Oak Farmhouse Table with Trestle Base and Plank Top
About the Item
English Arts and Crafts period oak farmhouse trestle table. This trestle table shows the care and craftsmanship that is a hallmark of the arts and crafts movement. The top is made of thick oak planks, hand riven; the base is beautifully hand shaped and again made with substantial pieces of oak timber, all pegged together so it can be simply disassembled for ease of movement. This table is an all purpose farmhouse table and can be used for everything from dining, working, a center table or as a desk. Circa 1880.
