Italian Versatile 18th Century Burled Walnut Game Table

About the Item

Italian 18th century burled walnut game or card table, side table or console, circa 1780. This very elegant table is made of walnut and its top is beautifully joined burled walnut. The table skirt and legs are highly carved Louis XV walnut, with cabriolet legs inset on top with a floral motif and the apron is centered with a shell motif. The table turns and opens to a larger playing surface with early original inlaid surface, including four round holders at each corner. Beautiful, functional and versatile, this game table could also serve as a side table or console in any room.
