About the Item
Offered is a wonderful pedestal or dining table base by designer Betty Cobonpue. Part of the Scultura line produced in the 1980’s.
Cobonpue’s design philosophy was simple: no hard edges. This is represented in the graceful curves and incredible craftsmanship of this particular piece. Made from formed split reed over a solid wood core/frame. These were made by hand and undoubtedly took the craftsmen many hours to create.
This would make a great pedestal to display your favorite sculpture, or would function equally as well as a dining table with the addition of a glass top (not included).
