An Impressive Fossil Marble Orthoceras And Ammonite octagonal shaped pedestal Attributed To Heinz Lilienthal. Lilienthal was a well-known successful German designer. He experimented with various materials including glass, metal, wood, copper, and also with natural stone and concrete. He made windows, mosaics, wall decorations, tables and furniture.
This particular pedestal has no obvious signature or mark and is attributed on the basis of the design and style. It particular, he is known to have used this exact fossil stone for his tables. The bases of his fossil tables were designed usually in a grid or circular pedestal format.
