18th Century George III Mahogany Chippendale Period Kettle Stand / Wine Table
About the Item
A beautiful George III kettle stand from the middle of the 18th century.
The solid mahogany one-piece dished top sits above a solid baluster column with carved gadrooned balusters to the top and bottom over three cabriole legs terminating on what are known as French scroll feet.
The form and execution of all aspects of this piece exceed. The crisp acanthus carved and upturned fluid scrolling cabriole legs, to the carved gadrooned balusters.
It is also worth noting the sleepy and untouched patinated surface.
