Art Deco Machine Age Black Lacquer Burled & Bookmatched Walnut Side Table
About the Item
This elegant Art Deco Machine Age table was realized in the United States circa 1935. It features rectilinear legs connected by x form supports- all in lustrous black lacquer. The top features a bookmatched walnut center bookended on each side by burled walnut. There is striated marquetry detailing with cross embellishments separating the burled and bookmatched walnut, and the top is circumscribed in lustrous black lacquer that also offers banded detailing. With its clean modernist lines and refined palate, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary. It has been newly restored to mint condition.
