Rythme, Marquinia marble designed by Hervé Langlais for Galerie Negropontes in Paris, France.
Interior designer and architect Hervé Langlais creates furniture with the purest of lines. His designs are enhanced by the elegance and inventiveness of the materials with which he works: torn wood, charred wood, white and ink colored Macassar ebony, soft granites, lacquer, bronze or galuchat. To create these objects that resemble Fine jewelry, the gallery has partners of rare quality. Craftsmen that are passionate about their work and with whom Sophie Negropontes and Hervé Langlais have forged privileged relationships over the years.
This sellette belongs to the Tribute to Brancusi collection which makes use of all the creative principles characterizing Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi: simple forms or shapes, unusual assembling methods and duplication of volumes. It could be a part of several sellettes mixed, in various materials: walnut, polished brass, charred wood or marble.
