Carved English Oak Side Table
About the Item
This side table was reconstructed from an 18th century gate leg table and embellished with a carved and stippled top edge molding. There are carved rosettes in the apron and stiles. The drawer front is carved with birds holding a leaf swag on a stippled background. There is an elaborate figural brass escutcheon and lock contemporary with the conversion. A carved apron extends onto three sides. There is a shrinkage separation in the top.
