Correspondence Sideboard by Gisbert Pöppler

About the Item

Correspondence Sideboard by Gisbert Pöppler Dimensions: D 250 x W 28 x H 91,5 cm Materials: hand lacquered ash wood Inspired by classic Asian woodwork, this sleek table uses no nails or screws, it is simply held together with compression from a keystone and artistic joinery. The striking lines and refined structure of this narrow table make it suitable for an entrance hall, supporting a freestanding couch, or in any tight space that needs some elegance. Crafted out of solid Ash and hand lacquered in a coral red, Correspondence stands on subtle wedge like legs that tapper into rounded details where wooden pegs hold everything together. All of their upholstery pieces are COM prices. The prices do not include any fabric. Gisbert Pöppler studied architecture at California College of Arts and Crafts, San Francisco and Technische Universität, Berlin, graduating in 1996 with a Diplom Ingenieur. In 1999 Gisbert Pöppler founded Prinz–Pöppler, a partnership with architect Ilona Prinz – together creating office environments for start-up organizations filling the dynamic Berlin landscape. Since 2004 Gisbert Pöppler has been working independently as a full-service architectural studio, offering unconventional end-to-end design solutions for corporate and residential clients.

  • Breakfast Patio Table by Gisbert Pöppler
    Located in Geneve, CH
Breakfast patio table by Gisbert Pöppler Dimensions: D 80 x W 80 x H 72 cm Materials: Glazed lavastone The simplicity of forms and cheerful glazed colors of this side table make it suitable for almost any space, outdoor or inside. This petit furniture is a bit more robust than it appears, being cut and shaped out of lava stone from the foot of Sicily’s famous volcano, Mt. Etna. The three pieces have been glazed in a kiln at 950 degrees, using an ancient technique developed in this region called Majolica, that protects them with a robust surface suitable for outdoor use and provides the translucent colors with a slight craquelé for the finish. All of their upholstery pieces are COM prices. The prices do not include any fabric.
