About the Item

A lovely French 19th century Louis XV st. Kingwood, Tulipwood, ormolu, and marble side table. The three drawer table is raised by four elegant slender cabriole legs with fine foliate ormolu sabots and connected by a bottom tier decorated with wonderful inlaid floral designs. At the center are three drawers also decorated with beautiful inlaid branches and leaves with richly chased ormolu keyhole escutcheons. The sides display a wonderful curvaceous design with finely detailed inlaid floral designs set on a beautiful butterfly veneered background and framed within an elegant fillet. The table is finished at the back also decorated with a fine butterfly veneered design while above is the original fitted marble top framed within a mottled wrap around ormolu gallery. All original gilt throughout.
