ATELIER AXO, founded in 2019 by designer Rose Hermansen and architect Caroline Sillesen, is a Copenhagen-based cross-disciplinary design- and architecture practice specialized in small scale architecture and detail-oriented interiors for a diverse range of projects including fine art galleries, retail boutiques, restaurants, office planning, and private housing.
Emphasizing site-specific solutions, the studio also designs furniture and objects that are not only striking but also sustainable. Their approach is grounded in a contextual understanding of the spaces they work with, whether it involves actively contrasting or collaborating with the surroundings. Sustainability is a top priority for the practice, reflected in their careful material selection, socially sustainable production, and a focus on longevity and quality.
