About the Item
Very pleasing round Austrian mahogany side table from the early 20th century, circa 1910. A valuable piece of Viennese furniture, made with finest mahogany veneer. The round top plate sits on four square columns which are mounted on a fantastic shaped base. An additional small compartment floats right in between the middle of the columns, radiating a beautiful harmony from the combination of straight and rounded lines. Chamfered edges with beautiful inlayed cast brass applications add delicate accents to this perfect restored item. A hand-polished shellac finish finalizes the mesmerizing beauty of this unique antique side table from the early Art Nouveau period in Austria.
