About the Item
Blurring the lines between solidity and fluidity, the Melt collection leans on natural stones and wood to form a three-piece collection of tables while each piece plays with complementing and contrasting these materials in the name of achieving maximum aesthetic pleasure.
The tables consist of a wooden base and a top piece carved from a single block of natural stone. Each piece is carefully handmade by talented local craftsmen with extreme attention to detail, using high-quality materials for the ultimate luxury experience. It takes around 10 days to manufacture a single table.
The collection is inspired by the uniqueness of stones quarried from the depths of Pamukkale Travertines. Travertines looking soft and cloud-like but being actually quite hard in reality birthed the idea of carving stone into a melting shape, while using a material that is no other than travertine stone itself.
