About the Item
Stunning pair of walnut freeform, biomorphic side or end tables with 2 tiers of heavy tempered glass with flared edges secured by solid brass hardware. Top tier is 20 inches high; main tier is 15 inches high.
Designed by C. E. Waltman for Tonk Manufacturing Company although this design is clearly influenced by and frequently mis-attributed to Vladimir Kagan's and Adrian Pearsall's designs of the period.
Tonk also made coffee table versions with teardrop and boomerang shaped glass.
An available option at the time was a Royal Haeger ceramic planter to be inserted in the guitar pick space under the glass.
These would be nice as nightstands as well.
