Rare Pair of Military Campaign Side Tables with Two Folded Round Tables Nested

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare pair of brown leather topped with gold leaf embossed edge Military Campaign tables with folded round tables inside A very good looking and rare set of tables, each piece has a premium cattle hide leather top, the edges have been gold leaf embossed. Inside each frame you have two folded nested round tables in solid mahogany, the legs are carved in what’s called the famboo style, basically when oriental furniture started making its way to England in the 18th century our furniture makers started reproducing it over here using our timbers, so these table legs are called famboo as in fake bamboo, they are carved from solid mahogany to look like oriental Bamboo, its very high end Regency styling In terms of the condition we have cleaned waxed and polished the pair, there will be normal age related patina marks from honest use but I genuinely can’t see any issues anywhere x2 Main table dimensions Height 58.5cm Width 48cm Depth 48cm x4 Small round table dimensions Height 52cm Width 42cm Depth 42cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
