About the Item

Early 20th century Welsh barley twist occasional table. Made of oak with an intricately hand-carved top inscribed ‘ Gwynfa and Bont 1914-17’ in commemoration of those who fought in WW1. Supported by hand-turned barley twist legs, joined by simple stretchers and raised on hand-turned feet. Glorious patina to table top and barley twist legs. Welsh, circa 1918. Additional Information: H 77 cm (H 30.3 inches) W 51 cm (W 20 inches) D 46 cm (D 18.1 inches).
