About the Item

Magnificent Hollywood Maison Jansen style coffee tables. Striking French design from the 1970s. Dark green lacquered metal base on solid brass feet with lion feet. Mid Century Maison Jansen style table with French, Directoire or Campaign detailing. They feature a wrought iron frame with a black finish. The lower leg sections are fitted with a nice, boot style, brass lion leg and paw foot. The tables are topped with the original, green and brown rainforest marble. The marble has a nice grain pattern and is notched on each corner so that it fits perfectly on the table. The table is not marked, but it is of high end design (similar to Baker, LaBarge, etc). It is in very good condition with only minor evidence of age or use. The marble top is honed, not polished. The previous owner used orange oil on the top to enhance the luster of the marble and diminish the etching marks. It is a very beautiful marble piece. The table is heavy, even with the marble top removed. It is very sturdy as well. The table measures. Dimensions Height: 20.86 in. (53 cm) Width: 27.55 in. (70 cm) Depth: 15.78 in.
