This is an antique pie crust table. An English, mahogany tilt-top occasional table, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870. Charmingly decorative top, of generous size and appealing craftsmanship Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep caramel hues Of tilt top form, the distinctive top held securely with brass clasp to reverse Fascinating pie crust edge detail accentuates the table edge Tapering support column adorned with carved gadrooning Raised upon a tri-from base, with broad cabriole legs Foliate decorated knees sit above carved claw feet This is a delightful antique pie crust table, with useful tilt function for occasional use. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
