Maison Mercier Folding Tray Table Brass and Tortoiseshell Lucite, France 1960s

About the Item

Maison Mercier, Paris, designed and crafted this elegant Mid-Century-Modern barware folding tray table in the 1960s. The large-scale square butler tray is made of Lucite with a faux tortoiseshell (tortoise) textured pattern and gilded brass trim. The piece also has a gilded brass metal folding X-stand. The X-stand is adjustable in height, thanks to a toothed wheel that allows you to adjust the desired position. This sophisticated and refined design has a versatile use in any upscale interior. This table set is in good condition, with light wear on the metal X-stand, but it does not significantly affect the overall appearance. Measurements: Overall: 21.26 in wide (54 cm) x 21.26 in deep (54 cm) x 24.41 in high (62 cm). Tray: 21.26 in wide (54 cm) x 21.26 in deep (54 cm) x 1.19 in high (3 cm). X-fold stand in open position: 13 in wide (33 cm) x 12.19 in deep (31 cm) x 22.83 in high (58 cm). The height is adjustable. X-fold stand in closed position: 12.63 in wide (32 cm) x 1.57 in deep (4 cm) x 25.79 in high (65.5 cm). Note: Other furniture pieces and decorative accessories are not included in the sale.
