About the Item
A mixed media painting of impressive scale on canvas created by Jason Stallings. Originally created for and curated and featured in a juried exhibition at a show in New Jersey in 2008. The artist created this painting to address those affected by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. The themes of erosion and rebuilding are ever present in this artwork. Ultimately this is a celebration of the humanity and culture of the city.
