16th Century French Gothic Carved Oak Architectural Fragment

About the Item

Early 16th century carved oak fragment of Gothic tracery likely from a choir screen or other decorative element from the interior of a cathedral or chapel. Very fine organic carving of entwined leaves and arches that is so particular of the gothic period and style. A piece of history from a New York City private collection. Measures: 15.25 inches high 11 wide 1.25 deep.
