About the Item
This dynamic and sophisticated wall sculpture was designed and hand blown in Murano, Italy by the esteemed atelier of Angelo Brotto in 1972. It features an abundance of protuberant coral-like forms- in alternating white, translucent and opalescent emanating outwards from a translucent glass sheet with rounded corners and a frosted centre. This piece embodies the verve, élan and impeccable quality that discerning collectors of first rate Mid-Century Modern Italian glass prize. While it would clearly be a perfect fit for a beach house, its bold modernist forms and neutral palate make it equally well suited for a metropolitan interior as well. It is signed and dated "Brotto '72" in the bottom left hand corner. Excellent condition.
