An impressive set of corboda leather wall panels by Dutch Artist Carel Adolph Lion Cachet, made around 1920.
The collection holds a total of 17 artworks:
4 square
3 rectangular
4 tall narrow
2 that can be combined to one
2 large rectangular
1 extra large rectangular
1 extra tall rectangular
They come from an old steam ship where they were used as decoration. Their age has provided them with a beautiful patina and the corboda / gold leather gives them an impressive sense of luxury. A most appealing collection of art pieces that will be a truly outstanding and absolutely unique addition to the interior!
They have different sizes, but for reference: the four square panels are 70 x 70 cm each.
Signature present, as shown in photos.
The set remains in good vintage condition. Some of the pieces have some more wear than others, one of the narrow pieces has a damage to the wood which. The photos represent the pieces well and their condition preserves a beautiful patina!.
