Decorative Plate with Abstract Pattern, Europe, 1960s

About the Item

Very rare enamel plate from enamelware factory in Olkusz, Poland, design and produced in the 60s. The metal surface is covered with enamel emulsion in layers - each subsequent enamel, of a different color, must be baked separately, at a temperature appropriately adapted to its composition. The final composition is the result of well-thought-out, multi-stage work, and the effect depends on the combination of colors, their saturation and solidification on the surface. In this way, a unique and unrepeatable work is created.
