Midcentury Rare Set of 12 Modern Art Signs of the Zodiac S/N Silkscreens

About the Item

So proud to offer this Rare complete set of all 12 signs of the zodiac. Each piece is signed and numbered. The artist is Arne Peterson. We are not sure if these were printed in the late 50s or 60s. There is no date on the hand printed silkscreens. Paper size 19” x 25” with image size aprox 14” x 18”. Interestedly enough, the 12 signs of the Zodiac were never offered for sale as a set! Due to their high cost, they were priced individually. They are so fantastic, they deserve to be shown and displayed as the complete set. What makes these images so special are the colorations of each of the signs. Each one uniquely different they look amazing together as a set. We are hoping they go to a Designer or buyer that can keep and grid them together on a wall either 3 x 4 or 6 x 2. We were going to frame all 12 in this set in a modern white wood frame with white matting…. I felt a designer might want to put their own signature on framing and oick color and size. The silkscreens will be shipped flat. If you prefer the set to be framed we can do it here in Palm Springs professionally for $450 each. (Our cost). The only thing we found about this talented artist: Arne Peterson (1907-1989) Danish.

Condition:

Wear consistent with age and use. These silkscreens have been stored in tubes since they were created. We have flattened them as best as possible. Certainly a framer will flatten them professionally before framed. There are no damages on images. Bright and colorful as when created.
