Pair of 19th Century French Hand Painted Ceramic Barbotine Figural Wall Plaques

About the Item

Embellish a wall or shelf with this elegant pair of antique, hand painted Majolica wall hanging plaques. Crafted in France, circa 1880, the ceramic tiles depict a man and a woman dressed in traditional Renaissance clothing. Both portrait figures are in high relief and are further embellished with beautiful palette of colors including shades of green and pink. The decorative art pieces are in very good condition with a tiny chip in one corner (see picture #6) Measures: 12" W x 12" H.
