Pair of Fornasetti Style Felice Galbiati Studio Still Lifes Milano Italy

About the Item

Piero Fornasetti Style Italian still life panels depicting string instruments, a viola and a mandolin(o).  Made by Felice Galbiati Arte Decorativa in Milan.  A lacquered lithographic transfer on wood, framed and centered on a larger framed dark wood panel.  Both frames are giltwood.  The back was removed once on one for the picture of the printed logo of the maker which is very much in the style of Piero Fornasetti as well.  It is a Sun with a face surrounded by Felice Galbiati Arte Decorativa and Milano (Italy). In fine condition, they are wired for hanging.  A small sticker on the back of one reads:  Perkins LTD.  830 N. Main St. Dayton, Ohio (phone number) and written in ink:  #66/18 and $47.50.  Printed sun logo on masonite back under rear paper. Measurements: Frame -  29  1/2 inches high  x  17 1/2 inches wide       Sight -  18 inches high  x  9  3/4 inches wide Overall 1 1/4 inches deep.
