About the Item
A fine color lithograph by American female artist Robin Morris. This is an original hand drawn limited edition lithograph printed using hand lithography techniques on archival Arches paper, 100% acid free. Presented in a very good quality professionally framed and mat boarded Hollywood Regency style frame.
Titled "The Couple" this modern Art Deco styled portrait of a sophisticated, elegantly dressed urban couple formally poses for their portrait, an attractive woman with her short blonde bob hairstyle is seated wearing a fashionable purple and magenta ensemble and 1920's style flapper hat; her partner standing beside her sports a pointed shoulder black and turquoise suit, both with pouty lips, staring at the viewer with one-eyed gazes. Ms. Morris utilizes her characteristic Art Deco stylized drawing in portraying a colorful graphic portrait of a modern couple set in front of a cool gray background with large green tropical leaves jutting into the composition from the bottom and right adding visual interest to this very unique and slightly amusing lithograph.
Pencil signed and numbered by the artist.

Contemporary American artist Robin Morris (b. 1953) is best known for her New Deco style of artwork that has captivated many throughout her career. She found success as a commercial artist with many of her works being featured by Radio City Music Hall, Coca-Cola, and Bloomingdale's. Besides her commercial work, Morris's creations have been included in the permanent collections of several museums and earned her international recognition.
