A wall plate by Delft Porceleyne Fles, after a painting by Willem van de Velde (de Jonge) 1633-1707 A wall plate by Delft Porceleyne Fles with a diameter of 40 cm, after the painting by Willem van de Velde (de Jonge) 1633-1707. The Golden Lion on the IJ, in front of Amsterdam, the original painted in 1686. Collection of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. The wall plate painted by the Delft painters P.L. Dijkman, worked from 1882-1922 and J. van Lijnschoten, worked from 1889-1935. The plate painted with a lot of ships and prominent in the picture is "De Gouden Leeuw", ( The Golden Lion) the flagship of Admiral Cornelis Tromp. Marked with the stamp of Royal Delft Porceleyne Fles and also with impressed stamp of Joost Thooft & Labouchère Delft 1884 - N.V. Delftsch Aardewerkfabriek Porceleyne Fles v/h Joost Thooft en Labouchere 1903 Dated Year 1898 The measurement is 40 cm diagonal and 5,5 cm high The weight is 2050 gram.
