An extremely prolific writer, teacher and practicing artist, Arthur Zaidenberg was virtually a household name in the 1940s and 1950s, thanks to the dozens of books he wrote for a general audience on how to paint and sculpt. This early drawing shows his facile command of his medium -- charcoal -- to depict a nude female figure floating in the ether.
