Old Master painting, French Baroque period 18th century oil on leather represents a lush imaginary landscape in rich, deep colors with intense light and dark shadows. A shepherdess and shepherd watch over a flock of sheep. This pastoral forest motif is a perfect example of peasant life in the 18th century.
Condition is good. Painted leather is laid down on board. Wood carved and gilded
frame is later.
