18th century Grisaille paintings of Allegory of 2 seasons with Putti The 2 paintings with Marouflé technique painted in oak wood frame. The right painting with a Putti milking a cow and 4 Putti pulling a rope on a cow. This painting shows some craquelé. The painting on the right shows 4 Putti who are harvesting the grain. This frame is somewhat fragile and has a different pattern in the oak. The paintings are both signed with a monogram of G.K. A grisaille painting, is a painting in which one does not apply natural colors but is limited to the some colors, usually gray or brown to create a marble look The sizes of the paintings are 78 cm high, 89,5 cm wide and 3 cm (2,5 cm) deep. The weight of the left one is 6 kilos and the right one 4 kilos. Total weight is 10 kilos.
