The oil painting fresco ceiling study was created for French churches by Edouard Bauhain, the architect responsible for the Art Nouveau and Art Deco transition and the designer of numerous French palaces and churches throughout the country. The signature "E. Bauhain Arc" is located in the lower corner of the canvas, and the frame is visible in the photographs.
