Outstanding abstract portrait of a boy with his dog, circa 1940
This is truly an extraordinary painting done by a very talented artist.
A bit of old fashioned detective work by the new owner end may turn up a listed artist!
Though undated, we believe this is circa 1940, or earlier.
The painting may bear a signature in the lower right corner (illegible - see images).
Canvas dimensions 32" wide x 40.5" high. The frame measures 37" wide x 45.5" high.
The canvas has been repaired at some point during it's long life. This can only be seen from the back and does not affect the image.
This is one of the finest mid modern paintings in our collection. We think you'll agree.
