Barbara Coburn Abstract Contemporary Painting on Paper Panel Screen Room Divider

About the Item

A unique contemporary 4 panel room divider hand-crafted by Michigan-based artist Barbara Coburn. Each panel is a one-of-a-kind painting abstract painting on paper that is framed under glass with a delicate metal frame. The subtle floral abstract designs are in muted dusty colors with pops of metallic gold and silver. This room divider adds a level of sophistication to any space. Dimensions: 98"w x 1"d x 91.5"h. In very good vintage condition. Barbara Coburn found her vision through the merging of the contemporary and the classic. Her flower paintings utilize visual play between positive and negative, bold coloration and high contrast. Her beautiful and iconic pop-based works shows a contemporary abstract edge and a uniformity of style. Furthermore, her work investigates the shapes of flowers, resulting in large multi-chromatic images that float and cluster together, pushing the edges of the paper and creating works that demand your attention by virtue of their extreme sexiness. Her work simplifies and distorts flowers with bold and unnatural colors that incorporate basic geometric and organic forms with a formal purity that is both subtle and mesmerizing. (Bio by Robert Kidd Gallery).
