Early 19th Century French Child Portrait Oil Painting in Gilt Frame
About the Item
This highly detailed oil on canvas painting was created in France circa 1820. Set in the original carved gilt frame, the portrait features a young boy in traditional clothing holding an apple in his left hand. The figure has a strong, piercing gaze and a beautiful facial expression. The painting is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use with rich colors; use it to decorate a study or bedroom.
