Franz Herbelot Watercolor, Cathedral Duomo, Milano
Franz Herbelot was best known for his watercolors of Parisian street scenes in the 1940s & 50s, but this rather more rare painting of the Duomo Cathedral in Milan was created during a trip to Italy (and for those of you who want to know, this cathedral is the greatest example of late Gothic architecture in Italy, begun in 1386 and completed some 500 years later). Signed, lower left. Measurements below are for the framed piece; the image size is 8"h. x 10"w. Please Note: Not all items are actually in this location at any given time.
