Large scale, signed James Scrase (1938-2018) oil landscape of Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire.
The castle, which dates back to the 11th century, is a grade I listed building.
James painted for over 60 years and trained under Italian Master Annigoni in Florence in the 1970s, most famously remembered for his two portraits of Queen Elizabeth II, in 1955 and 1969.
James was still painting at his long standing home in Bristol, until 3 months before he passed on 24.05.18.
