Pair of 19th Century French Still Life Oil Paintings in Gilt Frames Signed Hemet

About the Item

Invite vibrant color into your home with this traditional pair of antique still life paintings. The paintings were crafted in France circa 1880 and are set in ornate, carved gilt frames. Each canvas depicts "l'art de la table," One scene features a seafood table with an oyster plate, a red lobster, cheese in a dome, and several wine bottles. The other complementary composition depicts a typical French dessert arrangement with a fruit basket, homemade cookies, champagne and wine bottles and glasses. The food and drink pair of paintings have matching frames and are signed in the lower corner by the artist, P. Hemet. The realistic, timeless paintings are in excellent condition with rich colors. These compositions would make a nice addition to a kitchen, dining room or breakfast nook. Measures: 32" W x 28" H.
