A pair of oil on panel paintings featuring the "Farm in Autumn" and "A Fisherman in the Mountains".
Autumn initialed 'D' lower right and The Fisherman signed 'Durrie' lower left, in matching rectangular gold panel frames. Framed measurements 15.5" x 12.5" and panel size 9.25" x 7"
Born in Hartford, Connecticut, self-taught. (June 6, 1820 – October 15, 1863) An American landscape artist noted especially for his rural scenes, which became very popular after they were reproduced as lithographic prints by Currier and Ives.
