Watercolor representing a vase of wind-blown poppy flowers. Lovely colours. Signed P. Paquereau, 1947. Paul Paquereau (1871- 1956) was a French painter and theatre decorator and a contemporary of artists such as Raoul Dufy, André Breton and Man-Ray. For the theatre, he was commissioned to create decors by companies and venues such as the Ballets Russes, the Comedie Française, the Théatre des Champs Elysees, the New York Metropolitan Opera, etc.
